Cells grown outside their natural animal or vegetal origin are extremely fragile and require specialized culture media free of endotoxins that can restrict cell growth. Endotoxins introduced through media into bioprocessing workflows can also be harmful to humans by triggering an immune response. Our EndoLow line of peptones are manufactured with a controlled enzymatic digestion to produce low levels of endotoxins for the demanding needs of the biopharma industry and other media applications which require extremely low bioburden without stripping away vital nutrients that can reduce yield.
