Our PTC agar is impurity free and recommended for commercial micropropagation of a wide range of plant species as well as in vitro genetic engineering in the plant research field.
The wide 50ºC difference between gelling temperature and melting temperature insures PTC Agar will form a stable gel over a wide range of incubation temperatures.
Our PTC Agar forms a clear gel to monitor root growth and allow for the early identification of contamination.

Gel strength and pH can be adjusted for optimal plant support and root growth. PTC Agar is also exceptionally chemically stable and does not react with other media components, nor is it digested by plant enzymes.
